1. Personal Growth: What's the biggest lesson you've learned about yourself
in the past year?
The biggest lesson I’ve learned about myself this year is the importance of
clarity—in every aspect of life. Whether it’s in my personal relationships, drafting
contracts, or setting boundaries, being crystal clear about expectations and
goals has really transformed my life. It’s a reminder that communication isn’t just
about what you say but how well others understand it.
2. Career Milestones: What's your proudest career moment, and why?
My proudest career moment was branching out and starting my own law firm. It
was a leap of faith and was scary as hell, but it allowed me to create a practice
fully aligned with my vision: empowering musicians, artists, and creatives.
Building something from scratch that reflects my values and seeing it make a
real difference in people’s lives has been incredibly rewarding. As the practice
grows, I get to celebrate each of my client’s win and those are the best
moments.
3. Balancing Fame and Family: How do you balance your public life with
your personal life, especially when it comes to family?
Balancing work and family life is a constant challenge, but it’s non-negotiable for
me. I make it a priority to be present with my family, whether that means carving
out time in the evening to put my daughter to bed, have dinner with my wife, or
unplugging on weekends. Setting boundaries between work and home life has
been crucial, and honestly, my family is what keeps me grounded and
motivated.
4. Mental Health: How do you manage stress and anxiety, especially in the
public eye?
Managing stress and anxiety starts with self-awareness and utilizing all available
resources. For me, stepping away from work, even briefly, helps. I find peace in
playing guitar, going for long walks, talk therapy and acupuncture, and just
spending time with my family. I’ve also learned that it’s okay to say no and
prioritize mental health over trying to do everything for everyone.
5. Social Impact: What causes are you passionate about, and how are you
using your platform to make a difference?
I’m deeply passionate about fair treatment for artists (especially in age of AI),
and I use my platform to demystify the music industry and empower creatives.
My dream is to make the industry a fairer place where all artists can thrive.
Education is a huge part of that—arming people with knowledge to protect
themselves.
6. Future Projects: What exciting projects are you working on that you're
excited to share with your fans?
One of the most exciting changes I’ve made recently is opening up my client
roster, which was previously referral-only, to all serious and committed musicians. I’ve carved out dedicated space on my calendar (through my IG link-
in-bio) so that any musician—whether they’re just starting out or already
established—can book time with me directly and get expert advice. My goal is to
remove the typical roadblocks people face when reaching out to a law firm and
make professional guidance accessible to those who need it most.
7. Biggest Challenge: What's the biggest challenge you've faced in your career, and how did you overcome it?
One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced is competing with larger, more
established law firms—especially those with offices around the world and
thousands of lawyers on their team. These firms have resources I don’t, but
they’re often tied down by strict guidelines and optics concerns, which makes it
difficult for them to connect directly with clients. That’s why I’ve made social
media a core part of my business. It allows me to meet my ideal clients where
they already are, sharing valuable advice in an authentic way that those big
firms simply can’t match.
8. Advice for Aspiring Artists: What advice would you give to young people
who aspire to follow in your footsteps?
My advice to aspiring artists is simple: know your worth and your rights. The
music industry can be tough, but knowledge is your greatest tool. Never sign a
contract you don’t fully understand, always trust your gut, and surround yourself
with people who have your best interests at heart even when that tough decision
is not in their best interests. Be patient, persistent, and always stay true to your
craft and focus on the basics. Consistency of the right action makes success an
inevitability.
9. Unconventional Interests: What are some of your hobbies or interests that
people might be surprised to learn about?
One of my more unconventional hobbies is racing. I’ve turned a BMW station
wagon into a race car and am an active member of the Sports Car Club of
America (SCCA). Competing in track events is my stress relief, and it’s also a
fun (and legal) way to drive fast in a competive environment.
10. The Feeling: How does it feel to be a top celebrity?
Well first, I wouldn’t consider myself a “top celebrity,” but being recognized for
my work feels gratifying because it means I’m making an impact with the music
community. For me, it’s less about the spotlight and more about using that
platform to uplift others—whether it’s musicians, artists, or anyone trying to
navigate this wild and wonderful industry.
